Born to two proud Cameroonian immigrants, I was raised in the vibrant Bay Area, where culture, resilience, and creativity were part of my daily life. From a young age, I found myself drawn to the beauty of storytelling, language, and global connection—especially through my fascination with Japan. In high school, I was president of the Otaku Club, competed in the Japanese Speech Contest at Sacramento State, acted in multiple theater productions, and played tennis. These early experiences nurtured my love for performance, leadership, and expression, laying the foundation for the multifaceted career I continue to build today.
I went on to attend the University of Nevada, Reno, where I earned a bachelor's degree in Environmental Science and Japanese. Shortly after graduating, I moved to Gunma, Japan, as part of the prestigious JET Program, teaching English and immersing myself in Japanese culture. Living abroad expanded my worldview and strengthened my voice as both an educator and advocate. Upon returning to the U.S., I stayed rooted in my passions—working in education, speaking at events, and celebrating culture and community in every space I entered.
In 2023, I had the incredible opportunity to serve as a member of the Hype Squad for the Bay Area Panthers, dancing and hosting game-day events during their championship-winning season. Being part of the team’s rise to become national champions was an unforgettable experience, allowing me to combine my love for performance, energy, and local pride. That same year, I stepped fully into the world of pageantry, winning titles such as Miss Amethyst 2023 and Miss Black California 2024. In 2024, I proudly earned the national crown of Ms. Black USA in Washington, D.C., a milestone that allowed me to advocate for body diversity and mental health on a national platform. Following my wins, I was interviewed by FOX 2 KTVU News, where I shared my journey and message of empowerment with the broader community.
As an eating disorder survivor, my healing journey has deeply informed my purpose. I am officially recognized by the National Eating Disorders Association (NEDA) as a Community Ambassador, using my voice to raise awareness, promote body acceptance, and encourage open conversations around mental health. I also published my first book, Beauty in Body Diversity, which is available on Amazon. Through my writing, I aim to help others embrace their individuality and challenge societal standards that often marginalize or overlook the beauty in our differences.
Today, I live in Sacramento, continuing to grow my empire—whether through speaking engagements, artistic performance, writing, or community building. I serve the local Japanese community as a member of the Sacramento-Matsuyama Sister City Corporation. My mission is to inspire others to live boldly, love themselves unapologetically, and step fully into their power. Every chapter of my journey—across countries, stages, classrooms, and screens—reflects my commitment to faith, purpose, and the unshakable belief that our stories can shape a more inclusive, empowered world.
